Excite: Exchange of International Talent in Europe
This European network, coordinated by Popfabryk, includes partners from Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Wales. This week, the selection for 2025 was announced, featuring Frisian acts Laguna and Velocity Made Good.
Excite promotes the exchange of emerging international talent across festivals and venues. Partners offer performance opportunities and residencies for selected acts, giving Frisian artists the chance to perform abroad, while introducing audiences in Friesland to new music from across Northern Europe and beyond. Over the past fifteen years, Excite has provided many Frisian acts with valuable international experiences. Popfabryk hosts acts from the Excite network in Fryslân, in collaboration with Explore the North and Re:Sources.
Representing the Netherlands this year are Frisian acts Laguna and Velocity Made Good. Other selected acts include Affaire (BE), Ben Ellis, Bloed (BE), Brosie (DE), Danefae (DK), Grundeis (DE), Jonas Ringtved (DK), Marged, Nathan Misra, Postman (UA), SHEEBABA (LU), and WOLFSCHMIDT (SE), coming from the partner countries across the network.
